The Canary Riverside Plaza very kindly hosted members of the ACE Travel Operations team for a hotel show round and drinks reception.
The hotel is set within the historic wharfs and quays of East London, a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of the City. As the only independently owned five star hotel in Canary Wharf, it boasts 142 spacious guest rooms and suites to make for an incredibly comfortable stay, be it for business or leisure, with many offering stunning views of the River Thames and city. Guests benefit from to the adjacent Health Club and Spa and can indulge with afternoon tea on the sun-filled terrace at the Quadrato Restaurant. The hotel has a 24 hour, 5* concierge service available to all guests and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. There is on-site Valet parking and the hotel is pet friendly, allowing guests to bring animals of up to 15lbs with them (by prior arrangement).
The team were shown the meetings and events facilities on offer. The hotel’s private events space is set across the mezzanine level and first floor of the hotel and well equipped with a large recessed cloakroom, pre-event reception area, private office and business centre, in addition to the Ballroom, City Room and River Room, all offering superior river or city views.
The Ballroom has high ceilings and large windows overlooking the River Thames, making it an inspiring space for meetings, presentations, conferences and private parties. With the ability to divide the room in two, it is also well suited to smaller events. Capacities: 280 standing, 200 banquet, 220 theatre
The City room is flooded with natural light and has an adjacent pre-function space. The City Room is well suited to presentations, meetings, private dining and cocktail parties. Capacities: 40 standing, 32 banquet, 40 theatre
The Boardroom is adjacent to the City Room and business centre, it is perfectly situated for private meetings, interviews or as a break out space. Capacities: 8 seated
The River Room has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the River Thames making the River Room a popular space for meetings, presentations, cocktail parties and private dining. Capacities: 70 standing, 50 banquet, 80 theatre
After viewing the events space, our team was shown the 6 different room types the Canary Riverside Plaza has to offer. These include standard, superior, deluxe and executive rooms and both penthouse and presidential suites, all of which, the team agreed were very impressive. The rooms feature sweeping views of Canary Wharf, the City or the river and all rooms include L’Occitane bathroom amenities. They were lucky enough to be hosted in the 2400ft2 Presidential Suite, this showcased the ability to be able to entertain guests and clients when booking this Suite. The Suite includes a dining area for 8 people and a fully operational kitchenette. The hotels resident chef showcased a selection of canapés and deserts, all of which, it was agreed, were delicious.
All in all, the team were shown the stunning property and received 5* hospitality, for which we would like to thank the Canary Riverside Plaza Hotel. We can highly recommend the hotel for any medium sized events requiring the wow factor, with the added bonus of 142, 5* rooms on site for your delegates.
