Tenerife to close borders for 15 days.
The president of the Canary Islands’ government Angel Victor Torres announced on Thursday (16th December) that Tenerife’s border would be closed from midnight on Friday (18th December) due to rising Covid-19 cases.
The president said arrivals will be limited to essential purposes – including work, education and medical treatment, but not tourism.
Torres said tonight that the Tenerife has had to take exceptional measures to stop the advance of COVID-19.
